Title: A Multi-Phase Transport Model: Recent Results and Future Directions

Abstract:

The AMPT model was made public more than a decade ago, and various improvements have been made since then to incorporate more physics processes in heavy ion collisions.In this talk I will review some of our recent works including those on anisotropic flows and predictions for 5TeV Pb+Pb collisions. I will then discuss future directions to significantly improve the physics of the AMPT model.
